Hi Robyne Sorry I haven't replied sooner, but I have been away this week. Thank you very much for the look up you have done. I am very intrigued by what you have found even though the surname is not exactly the same. There are two things that make me want to investigate this further. The first being the 'Father's' occupation of mason as this is what John Crabb Bealey became. The second being the name of his 'Father' being Philip as this is the second name that John Crabb gave to his first born son, who was John Philip (who also became a mason!). If you have any advice on what else I could do from this point, I would be most grateful as I have not had much experience this far back yet! Thank you again Tracey

Like what? Hannah was born in Padstow around 1817/18. I don't think she is married..... or she is under Mitchell and has a husband called David with her.... Steve

Hi, Would be great if you could find a Hannah Mitchell (nee Parnall). She could be under either name. Located in Cornwall, Calstock or her birth place Padstow. She was born around 1817/18. Thanks Steve

Hi Robyne You help would be greatly appreciated as I have come to annoying halt! I had hoped the marriage certificate I had just ordered would give a father's name to get me going on the next generation but unforunately it was left blank! I am trying to find details about a John Crabb Bealey born c1840 in Exeter. The last census I have found him in is 1871. Could you please have a look and see if he (or any other Bealey if you have time) is in the census for 1841 in Exeter. Thank you very much Tracey
