Mike, me again. Just looked on 1837 to get the reference to send off for the certificate and John Jarvis is listed in the April quarter 1867 and Martha Tailby not Martha Law as on their sons birth certificate. The same as on FreeBMD. Would this be a transcription error do you think? Confused JoJo

Hello Mike, I'm most grateful for the information, it looks as if the Lockington Pymms were quite enlightened for the times, a daughter signing her own name. My maternal 6xGGF wasn't though, sons could write but education not 'wasted' on his daughters. Many thanks for the Methodist address, I'll get a letter off and keep my fingers crossed. Y&our a star!! Regards, Ralph

Hi, I believe that my Mum is a descendant of Timothy c1791 & Ann Moore c1801 both born in Gilmorton Leicestershire. i have been lucky in that two people on the site have them in there trees, however only one of them says that he had a son named Joseph c1821 also born in Gilmorton he later married a kitty C Kettle i have asked this person where he got the information on Joseph, but he has not replied. Someone kindly looked on the 1841 census but he was not with the family HO 107/598/04 page 27 Are you able to find out the parents of Joseph ? I would be very grateful if you could.
