There is a Lizzie overs in the right place at the right time and have gone with that in the hope that it is the right one, looking for a 'unknown Mr Overs Marrying Lizzie Unknown not really knowing where or when is almost impossible. What yo ureally need to do is buy the marriage cert for Lizzie and Turner and see what it says.. Lizzie Overs Nee something (widow) or lizzie Overs -spinster

Hello Jess Could you please look on 1871 census for James NAPIER born 1849 Scotland and his wife Ann born 1842/3 Devonport(my gg grandparents) ,In woolwich area probably as first daughter Jane was born in 1871 there and James NAPIER 1833 Scotland and his wife Maria J Napier born woolwich 1841 ,they may have been in Aldershot as their son William was born there in 1870. In 1881 both families are living together in Woolwich,28 Jackson St, but it doesnt state the relationship of the 2 James Thank you Deborah

Hello Jess, Could you please look up for me Mary Alder born in Kibblesworth (Durham) in 1896 if you have time? and let me know family members the address was The Square i think maybe 1901 census would give me more family members. Regards Janie

Deb

Deb Report 21 May 2005 23:48

Jess At a guess in the 1881 census OVERS has been mis-transcribed . The 1901 you gave me for them is right , but the second (the 1881) can't be can it as LIZZIE'S name is right but she appears to have changed even the christian names of her parents between 1881 and 1991 from ONIONS to OVERS but was born LIZZIE OVERS So is there a way they can be found or what would be the mis-transcribed name at a guess Residence is right area Deb

hi jess thanksfor your reply.out of the list you sent me i think it is going to be either william kelly born liverpool1849 or the william kelly born liverpool 1850.i do not think he was born in litherland so i can possibly eliminate that william kelly all i know is he married in 1872 and was living at 15 kent street, his occupation then was a shipwright, his father was a john kelly but deceased on marriage cert.it is possible that he lived in the kent street/ st james street area of liverpool but i can not find him in 1861/1871 census hope this helps thanks again, ROB
