Deb

Deb Report 22 May 2005 22:39

Yep Jess Found LIZZIE'S sister was born in DUBLIN in IRELAND so I thought it might just be a long shot as the family (ROSE - 1897 , FLORENCE - 1894 , ALICE - 1892 , LIZZIE - 1878 , LUCY - 1872 and JANE - 1874) cannot be picked up in the 1881 census (apart from those not born at the time ) unless you see if LUCY OR JANE can be found as opposed to LIZZIE , that might work Parents = JOSEPH 1848 ELIZABETH 1849 Debs

Hello Jess, many thanks for looking for Henry Church. Maybe he emigrated, served in the army, was away at sea fishing, or even died or maybe the name has been mistranscribed. One day maybe, I will find out! David Church is a cousin of my Grandfather, all the Middleton Church's are related, and there were quite a few of them! Once again, thank you. Kind regards Barbara

Hi Jess its me again Is it possible to see if you can find birth and marriage dates plus their families if possible (doesnt matter so much though it would be great) for the following 2 people. William Rudland born between 1865 and 1888 in Newcastle i presume thats where his son was born and died we think. He married Mary Straughan born also between 1865 and 1888 8it is said she had irish connections but im not sure if she was born in Ireland. The only child i know of so far is William Straughan Rudland born 1905 in newcastle upon tyne. He continued to live there as well as he was honoured with a Freedom Of Newcastle (havent quite found out exactly what this is yet). My grandmother remembers he had 3 sisters Sarah Elizabeth and Mary but its not 100%. This is all the info i have on this family so far. Hope you can find something thanks so much you're a great help Claire x

**Claire*

**Claire* Report 23 May 2005 12:33

Well William Rudland was my grandmothers grandfather and Mary was her grandmother. My grandmothers father also William was born in Newcastle upon Tyne which is why im guessing his father was as well obviously this could be a wrong guess.

lol it is a bit silly isnt it how are we supposed to see what kind of relative - strange. This could be the 2 sisters my grandmother mentioned though Sarah and Mary its possible. The surname is spelt slightly different but i have been in contact with someone recently (a long distance cousin) from the other side of the family and the surname changes 3 times
