Hi Mike Haven't bothered you for ages with the Heawood family but have found another problem so thought I would be a nuisance again. You found Edward Heawood's marriage to Mary Tyers at St. Margarets Leicester 19.10.1857. I have now been told he had a daughter Hannah who must have been born in Braunstone around 1857/1858 but I haven't found anything about her. Her name appears on Edwards death cert. as daughter. I have only known of Mary, Catherine, William and Joseph. Could you try and find her for me. Thanks Margaret

Margaret Report 5 May 2005 21:23

Hi Mike I knew I could get a quick result from you. Hannah Haywood is obviously the second daughter of Edward and Mary. I assumed she was the eldest because she did not appear on the 1871 census, I thought perhaps working, she may have just been away on the day. It can be such a pain having a name like Heawood with so many variations of the spelling, but this doesn't stop you. The 5 children were orphaned by 1877 so I am trying to find out what happened to them. Once again my thanks for your help. Margaret
