Hello Mike, Have asked for your help previously with Wards and Warrens in Leicester. Am stuck on a surname I can't read and need help as have not had this problem yet and wondered if you are able to look 'something' up to help. I have a birth cert for good old Albert Victor Ward as you may remember from previous but cannot read his mothers maiden name I cannot find them on St Margs reg. on the web site and wondered maybe if you had other marriage records. Am looking for a William Ward c1846 marrying a Mary Ann c1847 with a surname beginning with H and ending in T, their first child was born 1865. In 1872 they were living in Harcourt Street and I hope this info helps somewhat. When you helped previous the other Mary Ann was indeed a Powell and have put quite a bit of info together from then, can't thank you enough. Elaine

Those BUTLERs again!! The info about Thomas Henry is flowing fast and furious - but would so like to be able to prove the link between him and John - a birth for John c. 1799/1800, probably in St Martins (or maybe All Saints??) would be the perfect New Year Gift!! Ideally John's parents would be Henry and Elizabeth (Fielding??) Butler!! A birth record for Edward Henry Butler in 1831 - maybe St Margaret's, or the Wharf Street area - whatever parish that is, would be handy to find out if Jane was his mother - and if so, which Jane (could be Hollins??). The marriage of Jane Butler in 1839 turned out to be to Thomas Snaith in St Margaret's which strengthens the idea that John was dead by that time. All this from following the line of a possible cousin back 70 years, and the help of so many wonderful people - especially MIKE FROM LEICESTER - big THANK YOU!! Maggie

Mike, Just a quickie as about to cook belated Xmas lunch for Mother - how can I thank you??????? You just gave me my great great great grandmother Jane Hollins - I had a hunch - based on the marriage you found, and the fact that Thomas Hollins was in the same trade as Henry Butler, but us virgo females do like to have proof. Are you a star or what!!!! This evening supposed to be devoted to all things Charnwood, but am sure I will not be able to resist a dabble in the Butlers!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!
