Goldings of Ditton.

I'm looking for any assistance on Reynolds in Kent. In the Brookland, Brenzett and Romney Marsh surrounds.
I have ...
Hannah Reynolds (need maiden name & Hubby) c1800
Her sons... Edward and Charles
Edward c1828 married Ellen Smith ( I hope!) and had Horace Reynolds c1858
Charles c1831 married Rebecca Coleman and had Charles and Joseph.
Her Daughter Eliza c1832 I think married Richard but both their names appear to be Reynolds (cousins??)

I can go on and on and have got myself totally lost but they all seem quite tightly packed in this area. Please look me up for a look at the tree ;)

And a possible marriage?...... Having looked at the census , the 1841 that could be your family gives year of birth as 1791.

This is the volume and page no. for Rebecca Colemans marriage in 1852......... if you order the cert. it will confirm her husbands fathers name. Unfortunatly the groom isn`t listed on freeBMD, but if you quote Charles Reynolds groom as ref. checking point you will only be charged £3.00 if it is the wrong one.

Are you still looking for Reynolds in Brookland? I have Cd of parish registers if you would like a look up?

Looking for the marriage of a Phobe (sic) to John Sherwood from Lympne near Hythe around 1806.

Any Phobe births around 1780 would be a lead, as the name (esp. with that spelling) seems uncommon.

I am looking for WELCH and GRAY/GREY especially the Maidstone area. I found a baptism for Charles WELCHGRAY Maidstone c1805 but I believe the parents to have been William Welch and Jane Gray. Have searched for a marriage for them but no luck so far.

Thanks to Ellies Aunt I have lots of info from Brookland. Now stuck with maternal grandmother Edith Mary Whitehead b 6th Oct 1910 (registered 2a/959) Thanet d Nov 1975 (registered 16/1800)
Possibly her dad is called George Whitehead who I think died after 1941.
Brother called George Whitehead and sister called Elsie Whitehead not sure who is eldest but Elisie died this year (suffered with demetia so couldn't ask her anything before she died)
Edith Married Charles H Reynolds in 1932 East Ashford District.

Any help really appreciated ;)

Your best bet would be to get your maternal grandmother Edith Mary Whitehead birth cert........... that would confirm her fathers name and mothers maiden name and help you to trace the correct line of your family.

Got the birth cert for my maternal grandmother Edith Mary Whitehead. b. 4/10/1910. Parents Percy Alfred Whitehead and Mary Ann Whitehead nee Randall. No idea where to go now as can't place them on the 1901 census...
