hi viv, when you get a minute, hour, day, month even, would you pls look for my g.grandad 'george harold davis', b1881 salford manchester, who married 'clara stonnel'?think born in aldershot, or luton beds. my grandma is one of their children, 'edith may davis' bc1906, but think she married 'walter pearson' before my grandad 'fredrick rigby topping', manchester. his mother 'annie kewley', father not known, or just not found yet.(and ive only just found all this exciting information out!! arn't family elder's secretive)other surnames seem to be thrown in but cannot work out where they fit on maternal line, rigby topping, st john topping, edith may davies/pearson, poss married prev to walter pearson, before george h davies , other names sarah davis, daniel davis. im also looking at paternal side, father russell singleton, grandma marie singleton, nee rogers, born of lilian ann chapman,my g.g.grndma & g.g.grndad alfred rogers/rogalski (rumours think alfred's history may be immigrants, poss polish)!! thus name change due to racism, late 1800/early1900 lilians parent's 'francis j chapman', born lancs manchester, b1861 married 'elizabeth' b c1882 ? from chester not sure what year or where, he is my g.g.g father, & g.g.gndma, and tales lead me to believe this side are very musical and go between lancashire, cheshire and liverpool. my god this looks like an essay, im new to this so not sure how much or little helps, any itty bit of info you come across will be more than appreciated, thanks cheryl.
