Lucy, You are fantastic! That was the right Simpson family. I found Charles G Simpson born 1833 on the Family Search site. I then did a batch search and found he had 2 brothers and a sister. It also named HIS parents. What a brilliant result. Shirley

Patricia Do you have some forenames I can search for Rowlands family as I can't do address searches. There are 62 Rowlands in Swansea! It will be much quicker if I can hunt for a name.

Lilian Report 19 Sep 2003 23:51

Hi Lucy, Re Edward Ralph. It could well be him you've found because his mother was Jane and he had a sister Mary. But he married Catherine McVee in June 1887. Was he down as single or married? He could have just been visiting on the night of the census. Where were they living? When you have time, could you please look up Catherine Ralph in Liverpool or Everton and also William (John) Lindon age about 32, possibly in Liverpool but could be anywhere (he was a seaman). Thanks for your help, Lilian
