1901 census uk - when you have found the person you are looking for ie Head of the family ie Fred Brown living in Leyton, Essex. Left click on his name then click on properties which will give you a number ie 7158640. If you then go back an re-enter just the surname Brown or what ever, then the area living Leyton it will bring all the Brown's or what ever surname you are looking for in the Leyton area. You have the above number to go by - so what you are looking for is the rest of the family which when you have left clicked then clicked on properties on all the names, will look like: Fred aged 45 Head 7158640 Sarah aged 43 Wife 7158641 John aged 19 Son 7158642 Sarah aged 17 Dau 7158643 It can be a bit long winded if the surname is a common one, but you can end up finding other family members who escaped you. Happy Hunting Linda
