Hello Kal, researching the name of Harridence in and around Warwick. However, some were raised in Foleshill, so any help would be appreciated. I had no idea where it was, prob being a southerner. Congrats on a good idea/thread, Derek in France

Ooh, threadkiller, that Coventry Collections site is excellent.

I thought it'd be just Coventry city, but it has references to some of my Fillongley people.

Two of them appear to have taken the Freeman's Oath, which I hadn't expected.

I found one very interesting article there about Luddite riots in Coventry involving a Benjamin Sparkes, who was sentenced to death (commuted to transportation).

I have four people from Fillongley of that name in my tree, but the ages are wrong, so I'm still trying to work out if this Benjamin is one of mine.

Do you by any chance have anything about the parents of Samuel White, born about 1816. He married Maria Blewett 25 December 1842 at St Michael's.

Have a fair bit of information about Maria's ancestors but nothing about Samuel's beyond the possibility his parents may have been Edward White and Susanna.

Another one is Ann Pegg, who married William Molesworth 12 December 1798, also at St Michael's

Many thanks

David
