It started when I tried to look up my father James Pickersgill born 1926 I was born Sheffield so I started there I sent off for his birth cert but they not help me I have been to the Family Centre London but could not fined them. I was in hope that a new pair of eyes might find something

My mum Marjorie Rose Marsden nee Wilkins b 23 June 1950
Her mum Marjorie Rose Abraham b 1923 Eccles Salford Married Norman Arthur Wilkins
Her mum Rose Clayton b 1904 married John Abraham
I cant find Rose Claytons mother but i do know that she died in childbirth when having twins along with the second twin & think the surviving twin was Annie & some of her siblings were Amelia, Arthur & Rose.

Any info of any generations mentioned would be very much appreciated......

Don’t worry, I’ll cross reference the John Pickersgill’s born around 1918 with marriages of William Pickersgill to see if I can find a marriage with the same mother’s maiden name.

I am interested in the British Army WW1 Pensions.

Could you please tell me if there is any information on Albert George Fuller born c. 1897 in Felsted, Essex?

He was in WW1 and was gassed, sadly he died in 1926. He was my maternal grandfather.

He appears on the 1901 Census age 4.

I am also looking for his marriage to Annie Bentley in about 1920 in the Dunmow or Thaxted area of Essex.

I would suggest either getting her marriage cert which should state her Father's name, or her birth cert if you are sure it is her to see what both parents are called.

Hi Vicky, my GGF Thomas Prest married Elizabeth Thompson in Feb 1900 in Middlesbrough.

Elizabeth had a child in 3rd qtr 1898 in Stockton Durham named

Ethel Gertrude Roberts Thompson

I cannot find any of them on the 1901 census.

I did find a Elizabeth Thompson with a Ethel Thompson, but Elizabeth was 10 yrs older than the one I want, plus she should have been using her married name, shouldnt she ???.

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi Vicky, thanks for your reply, ages on marriage cert are 24yrs for Thomas and 22 yrs for Elizabeth.

I think his birth would be Stockton or Durham, I have never been able to pin point it, his father is William Prest labourer and the witness's on Thomas's marriage cert are Jane prest and William Ayre, I think she is his sister, she marries William Ayre in june of 1900, I found them on the census, somebody got in touch and told me Jane married 6 times, but they havn't been back in touch.

Elizabeth Thompson's father was John Thompson, hope some of this is a help.

hi victoria trying to find out if my aunty hilda peck(was hilda davies) ever remarried or when she died , she married percy peck in thorne in 1938 i do kno the marriage broke up and my uncle percy remarried in 1947 many thanks lyn
