You need to get the 14 day trial to ancestry and then to wade through the full Death index 1918 - 1984 (4 pages per year).

Looking at the Salford freeBMD there is an Alfred Arnold born Dec 1905.

There are a Philip and Alfred on the 1911 census in Leigh, but they don't seem to be with other Bancrofts, perhaps someone with access can tell who they were with.

Hi Peter, the last info. i have is in Salford where she gave birth to my father in Nov.1918 after that nothing, i have found her birth,Marriage,certs
my fathers birth is where the trail ends.

Deaths for Agnes Bancroft are only up till 1930 on FreeBMD...so if it was after that then you'll need to look through the Qtrs on Ancestry.

If Bancroft was her married name then>>> AGNES ELIZABETH BANCROFT, born 19/02/1878<<<wasn't born on that date it would be whatever her maiden name was

Are you sure her name was Agness Elizabeth,because that name is not coming up anywhere,Elizabeth A yes.

If she married she would have a different last name on her death cert.
