Rene? and Thomas Oldfield

Rene went to Canada in 1923 with her brother, Thomas (my father), I was told.
But so far I have not been able to find out anything about her. She doesn't appear on any index as Rene Oldfield, so I wonder was her "official" name something different? I can't even be sure of her date of birth, but I got the impression she was older than Dad.

Has anyone any information about her?

I have been trying to contact Lynne Turner (nee Parker) through this site but I have had no replies yet. Maybe her email address has been changed?

probably an Irene rather than a Rene.

what was your fathers mothers maiden name?

What age were they both when they went to Canada? What year was your father born?

There is a Renee Oldfield born 1911 Barnsley on freebmd.

Thanks everyone!

Thomas Oldfield was born in 1905 at Pontesbury, Shropshire, England.

His mother's maiden name was Lily Jane Pugh (she also married a W H Davies).

Thomas is on the passenger list (apparently travelling alone) of SS Montlaurier which left Liverpool 23rd Oct 1923 and arrived in Quebec 3rd Nov 1923.

If anyone has access to landing information this might indicate his onward destination in Canada - Rene may have gone ahead.
