I'm hoping someone can help. I am trying to trace my paternal ggrandmother. Her name was Pauline Marie/a and she married Samuel Young (b Kingston c1860). I have a trace on them on the 1901 census and 1911 census, the latter of which says they had been married 18 years. I cannot find a trace of a marriage certificate. I know my ggrandmother came from Switzerland (geneva). My grandmother told me this and this has been confirmed by the census records. I am keen to trace the Swiss side of my family, but cannot without further details on Pauline. I also want to know if they married, and where, when she got here, and why. |
