Going for gold
Genes Reunited launches Gold Membership to help users unravel their past
Genes Reunited today announces the launch of a new package designed to make it even easier to take advantage of the site's full functionality. The new Gold Membership package will allow members to contact other users and to engage with the Genes Reunited community as well as offering unlimited access to historical records, including census, birth, marriage, death and military records.
The new package is available at £34.95 for six months' membership.
Genes Reunited is the largest genealogy site in the UK and has over eight million members. Its easy-to-use format enables people to build their own family tree and find matches in other members' trees to discover a family connection. Simply input the names of the family members you know and Genes Reunited will search the eight million family trees already on the site and alert you to any similar entries in other people's trees - making tracing your family's roots easier than ever before. Alternatively you can immediately start digging into your family history by simply searching the 500 million names on Genes Reunited.
Martine Parnell, head of Genes Reunited, commented on the launch: "We want to make it as easy as possible for our members to unravel their past and make contact with family members who perhaps they've lost touch with. By adding the Gold Membership to the Genes Reunited subscription packages we hope to give our members the chance to take full advantage of all the features of the site and really dig into where their family comes from."
It's entirely free to join Genes Reunited and to start building your family tree. The addition of Gold Membership means that members can now choose from three packages to help them discover their roots:
- Standard subscription at £9.95 for six months, allowing people to contact other members on the site who share their ancestry and share information to uncover their family history
- Pay-per-view subscription at £5 for a 50-credit package, allowing members to view detailed information in the historical records section on a pay-as-you-go basis
- Gold Membership at £34.95 for six months, allowing members unlimited access to all records on the site, as well as unlimited contact with other members, viewing other members' family trees, posting on message boards and interacting with the Genes Reunited community
