Attaching and removing census images

You can attach any of our records to the names in your tree. To do this, you need to find their entry in the records itself, then you must select 'view'. Once you have done that you'll see the option to attach the details to someone in your tree.

After choosing to attach the record, you'll see the name you'll be attaching it to. Our site will choose the closest match we can find. This is usually the correct match. If you want to attach it to someone else, you just click on 'view all relations' and select the correct name from the list.

When you attach the image to a relation, if you have pay-per-view credits you will only have continual access to that image for the validity of the credits if you've purchased a batch of 50 credits. If you purchase a batch of 200 credits, you will only have continual access to that image for either 30 days or until the end of the validity of the credits, whichever is shorter. After that, you'll use credits each time you view it again. If you are viewing someone else's tree and they have attached an image, it will also cost you credits to view that image.

If you have a Platinum subscription you have unlimited access to images attached to relations for the duration of the subscription.

If you have added a record to someone in your tree and wish to view it or remove it you have to go to your tree first. The record will be displayed in the Lifeline. You can then click to view the record and you'll see the option to either view it or detach it.
