Thank you AnnCardiff for the 1861 and 1871 census for Robert W Evans b 1849. I have viewed the census and again I feel that I have came to a dead end.

Robert Evans a farmer (marriage cert)
I have tried unsuccessfully to locate R W Evans b1875 in the 1881, 1891 and 1901 census. I have R W Evans in the 1911 census living and working at Senghenyyd. Robert W Evans b 1875 died in the 1913 Senghenyyd Mine Disaster.

Have you considered this one? I know the names are reversed (if the middle name on census is Robert!), but father is a farmer and the location is right.

I am assuming all along that you do not have a birth cert for Robert William. What are the witness names on the marriage cert?

Thank you bummiejan for your help with my Robert William Evans b 1875 North Wales. I have previously listed my query on R W Evans and his family and I am absolutely positive of my research and the only thread I am unable to find is his birth entry and parents details.
I don't have R W Evans birth cert but his 1911 census is listed below.

R W Evans was living at 26 Stanley Street Senghenydd In the 1911 census
Robert is listed as 38 years being born North Wales can speak English and Welsh and is a coal miner.
His wife is
Emma b 1872 Ystrad Glamorgan
Kate Margaret b 1906 Ystrad Glamorgan
James Evans b 1908 Ystrad Glamorgan.

The witnesses on the marriage of Robert William Evans to Emma Hughes on 11th September 1907 are George Williams and Richard J Ford. The marriage was solemnized at the Registry Office at Pontypridd. Robert was living at Llanbradach and Emma at Abertridwr.

I have extensively research Emmas Evans family who was married three times (Lloyd,Hughes, Evans). Emma Evans maiden name is Coleman. I have located the divorce papers for Emma to her first husband David Walter Lloyd. Emma then married Edwin Hughes at Chirk Denbighshire. Edwin died in July 1897. Emma gave birth to a daughter Elsie May Hughes in November 1897. The relationship of Emma and Robert William Evans appears in the indexes in Nov 1905 with the birth of their daughter Katie Margaret Evans. I feel because of the divorce Emma and Robert Evans did not marry until 1907. The divorce was annulled in 1902.

Hi brummiejan, Yes I have thought of Robert William Evans being listed as William Robert Evans but have not researched those names as yet.

Interestingly Robert Evans is listed as William Robert Evans and William Evans on the certs of his first two children then the name to Robert William Evans for all other certs.

Looks like the siblings. Richard ad benjamin are farmers. William however is a 'telegraphist'. which doesn't match with your William.:

I don't believe that the census match with my Robert W Evans.
I will print out the names of all births of Robert W Evans bc1875 North Wales and then check the census to see if I can eliminate the Evans surnames that don't belong. If I don't find a match then I will do the same for William Robert Evans.

It is time to become serious instead of pulling at straws.
