Same address as the 1881 census ... think you're right.

There is another thread for this same Maxwell family saying William Snr was born in Ireland ... correct again.

thanks to you all dont know about jessie . william the father died 1879
in the poorhouse got alot of scotlandspeople getting all mix up
with his 2nd family we are from his1st family when we started the
family tree it going to be straight forward . thank to you all colin

I have a Thomas Maxwell who was a coal miner born about 1830 in Scotland not sure where abouts, he married a Janet born around the same year I know they had a daughter called Jeanie born about 1856 who died in 1921.
