Can anyone help PLEASE I am trying to find some info on my Great Grandfather .All I know is he had a son William Barnes his d o b was 1862 born Suffolk or Norfolk and died in Essex in 1938 he never married but had a partner Maud/e Playle and they had 4 children 2 boys 2 girls I have alot of info on Maud/es side of the family, but nothing from my Grandfather back ,is there someone that can shed some light on William Barnes,s Father.I don,t even have his name to go on.

Do you have the birth certificates of any of the children to tell us what William's occupation was or if Maud had been previously married?

I see that they weren't born until 1914 onwards so we won't find any of them on the 1911 census and Maud and William may not have been together then.

How have you Williams birth year

Quick search on 1911 census - I don't have view access - there is a Maude Louisa Playle aged 23 living with a family called Case in Walsingham Norfolk.

The only Barnes that matches in Walsingham is a Robert William Barnes aged 49

Hi ,William was born in 1862 he was an agricultural lab.[farm horseman].Maud/e had not been married before.
I hope this is of help to you. I have been trying for 2 yrs to get more info on Williams Father but just hit a wall I hope someone can get through more then me its driving me mad. :-0

I should imagine that the birth year comes from the death.
