Do you need information back in time from Mary?

I can put you in touch with someone if you like, but she is not on GR.She knows loads about Belchamber family, especially in West Ham area.

Debbie this is the family in 1901 and there is no daughter Cecilia Watson with them? What makes you think they had a daughter Cecilia?
I think it would be a good idea to take up Gwyn's offer of a contact the Belchamber family from West Ham.....

Debbie

I really dont know where you have got this from as our 30 odd pm's to each other your grandmother was Cecilia Burke who married Ambrose Watson in 1938

Or have I wasted about 10 hours of my life trying to sort this for you

I have asked you where this marriage of Thomas and Mary Ann fit in because I cannot fathom it out

jax

jax

jax Report 10 Dec 2010 22:42

All I can say is buy Ambrose and Cecilia's marriage cert to find out who their parents were.

The Ambrose you think is your grandfather born and died in Derbyshire....affraid I dont..... as that one married in 1941

There is this one

Name: Ambrose Watson
Death Registration Month/Year: 1958
Age at death (estimated): 63
Registration district: Gateshead
Inferred County: Durham
Volume: 1a
Page: 773

and as his daughter married in that area in 1957 looks more than likely to be him where did cecilia die could this be her

Name: Cecilia Watson
Birth Date: 11 Jan 1916
Death Registration Month/Year: Mar 1991
Age at death (estimated): 75
Registration district: North Tyneside
Inferred County: Tyne and Wear
Volume: 2
Page: 1082

Please just get the marriage cert rather than all this guessing

marriage again for you to order

Name: Ambrose Watson
Spouse Surname: Burke
Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1938
Registration district: Crosby
Registration county (inferred): Merseyside
Volume Number: 8b
Page Number: 734

jax Report 10 Dec 2010 23:10

I was'nt telling you off Debbie I was getting frustrated Wish you had told me where your grandmother died before hand.....So there was no real reason your grandfather would have died in derbyshire then?

I cannot say for certain if its them or not marriage cert will give there ages and fathers names so it will be a good start.

You can purchase it here at £9.25

If that is your grandmothers death this could be her birth but until you get the cert there is not a lot of point guessing

Debbie, we too have exchanged a lot of pm's and you keep telling me about who you are looking for but I find it very confusing as you keep changing the names.

The helpers are doing their best for you but you really need to take their advice if you want to find the right people.

Jax has advised you how to get the marriage certificate which will set you on the right path.

Have you been in touch with Gwyn about the Belchamber family as that could be helpful also?

If you come back to this thread when you have got the certificate, someone may be able to help you again. Cx
