Lesley, just so we know where to start looking - in what way are you trying to find him? Do you think he might still be alive?

Yes that is the 1911 for George Parkes. He is my paternal grandfather but my father was illegitimate and is now 81 years old.Until now he has rejected the possibility of unknown family and now wishes to try to find out.We are trying to go forward from 1911.If I could establish when he died I may be able to find a grave/records etc. he may have been buried in the Handsworth/Hockley/Ladywood area of Birmingham.Warstone cemetery or Handsworth cemetery. From there I may be able to find any other family.

Hi Lesley, I have the Birmingham elec rolls from 1912-55. I can see the family at the address you have on Ladywood Road until 1927 but after that I am struggling to follow him. Is there any other info you have ?

The only other thing I found was his war number

313082 RE-

Someone may be able to find his record for you if that is of any interest.
Did he ever live with your father's family ? If you would prefer you can PM me by clicking on my name.

Will look again , probably need one or two more pointers
