This has been very complicated,your researchers found his marriage to Polly Cook at Heysham.and I followed his family,last time in Marfleet Hull WR Yorks 1911 the family were living at 2 Honeysuckle Cottages Hedon Rd,what I am trying to find out is before his marriage,a relation of mine had him down as born in Grantham.I have his marriage certificate,and his father is John.They eventually moved to Halifax,and my husband was a child of about 3 vaguely remembers going to the funeral, around 1931/4I believe Polly died there around 1935,.That is all I know.maybe it his him in 1866

In the 1911 census it says married 12 years, which does not fit with 1901, also son Richard is 10, so should show somewhere in 1901 census - have you found them (seoarately or together) in 1901?

Yes they were together in 1901,I have their marriage certificate.Their son George was my father-in law.Now I would like to find out about Toms back ground and his parents.I have all Pollys family,and her ancestors.Grateful for all you have done,thankyou

Maybe the census had not taken place then,Polly was living with her sister before marriage in Heysham,her sister was Emma North,married to John North

The marriage in Lancaster was in the final quarter so sometime after Sept.
Definately after the census of 1901 was taken.

This could be the Thomas born 1866 in Grantham, Lincs
