Hi, Can anyone help me with a lookup for a marriage between 1932 and 1948 probably in NSW but Victoria is also a possibility. The names are Harold Frederick ANDERSON, parents names unknown to Elizabeth May nee BAILEY (formerly GOSLIN and WALKER). Elizabeth May Bailey married Albert Bentley GOSLIN in 1931 in Victoria, Reg No 7928. In 1948 she married Leslie WALKER in NSW. Her parents names were Arthur BAILEY and Alice BAILEY (nee Buck) born in Lancashire England. The death certificate for Elizabeth May records her surname at the time of death as ANDERSON (also known as Elizabeth May WALKER) and states the marriage took place in Sydney. I have been unable to trace this marriage would appreciate help with this. I am also looking for a death of Albert Bentley GOSLIN after 1936. In the 1936 Victorian Electoral Rolls he is listed at 59 Albion Street, West Brunsiwck.

As Elizabeth May 'GOSLIN' married Leslie WALKER, would not that mean that her marriage to Harold ANDERSON would have been after this and before her death in 1977.
As we can only check marriages up to 1957 and it is not there, the marriage (if there was one) would be between 1957 and 1977.

Mariage 2: 1948 Sutherland NSW Registration No 16773 Elizabeth May Goslin to Leslie Walker.

Her death certificate states that she died on the 10th January 1977 aged 65 years ofin Newcastle and was married to Harold Frederick Anderson at the age of 21 years and that the marriage took place in Sydney. The certificate states that she was also known as Elizabeth May Walker and that she had a daughter Margaret aged 42 years and a son Russell aged 37 years. I am trying to establish whether or not a marriage to Harold Frederick Anderson actually took place. If there was a marriage and the children were those of Harold Frederick Anderson then the marriage must have been around 1932 or 1933. I also need to know the surnames of the children Margaret and Russell before I can move forward with my research. Thanks also for giving me the death date of the first husband Albert Bentley Goslin. The death date of the second Husband Leslie Walker , NSW may also help.

Thanks for this list. It looks like the marriage I am looking for didn't in fact take place. I will need to rethink this one.
I have the details of two marriages which are follows:

Barbara, does Elizabeth's death certificate say she married Harold when she was 21
OR that she and Harold were married FOR 21 years.

The death certificates which I have got from NSW usually state the length of the marriage not the age of the couple.

If it is the duration, then they would have been married about 1956

Given the ages of Elizabeth's children, at the time of her death, then
Margaret (42) was born abt 1935
Russell (37) was born abt 1940.

Elizabeth is with Albert Goslin on the 1936 Electoral Roll,
so we can be reasonably sure that Margaret is a Goslin.
As Elizabeth didn't remarry until 1948, Russell may be a Goslin also.

If the children went to NSW with Elizabeth... there was this marriage.

The informant was C.D. Couch - so most probably not the daughter.

This looks as though this is the marriage of the daughter Margaret.

It is beginning to look like Elizabeth May and Harold Frederick Anderson were never married, particularly as it states on her death certificate that she was also known as Walker (could it be that she was calling herself Anderson although she wasn't actually married to him?)
