Hi I have only been building my family tree for one week (and become additcted!!)and have almost nothing to go on for my Dad's family - he is 83 and suffering from Dementia and we have no family records!! His name is John Walton born Stanley? 12.11.23 and had three siblings - Mary Hannah born 18.4.18, Marion ?dob and Wilfred (died in the 70's aged 40). I believe his father was also John Walton and his mother was Margaret Anderson. (there has been some mention that Margaret may have originated in Scotland but nothing concrete) His mother left the family when the children were young and remarried in Newcastle and went on to have a daughter she called Margaret. My Dad was a miner as was his dad and he married Gwen Nicholson in 1950. This is about all I have and am hitting dead ends - can anyone who may have a thread to lead me somewhere please contact me, I'd be very grateful!! Thanks Olive |
