Trying to find Anderson

Hi Gang. We are trying to track down the ancestry of William Christie Anderson, born about 1790, of Leith, Scotland. He was apparently Town Clerk. William married Elizabeth Gordon Abercromby. (date not established) They had 6 children, Charles, James, Cathrine, Elizabeth, Abercromby and Octavus. William died 10th July 1863. We think William also had at least one brother (also named James). We are decendants of son Abercromby William who also had a son named Abercromby/ie II. Abercromby/ie II came to Australia approx 1854 and died in Melbourne Australia in 1866. Abercromby/ie II was my Great Grandfather. Any help would be appreciated in tying the loose ends at both ends of the spectrum. K Phil Anderson [email protected] |
