I am tracing the Gibbs family tree and believe that A Mrs Gibbs married Ivor Archer and lived in Ty Gwyn Aberdare, South Wales. Mrs Gibbs had a son named James Gibbs from a previous marriage. The archers went on to have more children. If anyone can help that would be great.

Hi Lindsey, All I have been told is that James Gibbs date of birth December 1908 Bristol but I can not find it in the births. James mother was widowed young and remarried to Ivor Archer and lived in Aberdare, James would not tell his family any info. I do not evan know James dads christian name.

Do you have any documentation? Or are you working only on info from someone else?

I am working on info from My mother in law who is the wife of James Gibbs son. James and his wife were very secretive and did not even tell their children anything about James family. I know where they lived Ty Gwyn in Aberdare 1959 is correct as my mother in law received a telegram from them on their wedding, this was in.

Sorry should have said on my mother in laws wedding 1959.
