Sorry - I made some mistakes in my original message: this is the corrected version. This has been a brick wall for ages!! My gg-grandmother was Sophia Archer (1832-1893) born in Hull, married John Lowsley (sometimes spelled Lewsley or Lousley) in 1849. The marriage cert gives her father's name as Joseph Archer, a mariner, but I can't find anything else about the Archers. They all lived in the Sculcoates area of Hull. I'd like to find out Joseph's wife's name, and whether Sophia had any brothers or sisters. This might help me to get a step backwards. Any help would be appreciated. And sorry again for the muddled info I gave first time! |
