Hello,
I wonder, if anyone may be able help look for something?

Birth:
Henry Baker born 1780 (based on 1851 census - he was 71years old).
Died 1855 at Kirtlington, Oxfordshire (Parish Register).
The census says place of birth Oxon, Bletchington - although I can't find him in their parish registers.
Would really like to know his parents names.

Also Marriage:
Henry Baker (above) to Elizabeth surname unknown. She was born c1780 (based on 1841 census - says she was 60), they had children in Kirtlington, Oxfordshire and she was buried there in 1845. The first child baptised at Kirtlington was in 1808.
As she died before 1851 census, I don't know where she was from. Would really like to know her surname so that I can develop this branch further.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Kindest Regards
Laura

Hi Laura,

Margaret Rose does Oxfordshire look ups.......... I'll give her thread a nudge for you on the Records Office Board.

Thank you Denise,
Really appreciated as I've been stuck with this one for a while now!

Children were often baptised in a different parish to the one they were born in, so you need to check surrounding parishes.

Thank you Potty, I didn't know that.
I will have a good look tonight as I have a few of the Oxfordshire CD's.
Thanks again
