I am looking for the parents and descendents of ROBERT BAKER, b ca 1730 and GRACE HERRING, b ca 1730. They married June 10, 1754, at St Marys, Taunton, Somerset. So they may have come from that area maybe. Their children were:- WILLIAM BAKER, believed to have m a MARY ANN JENKINS, with a son named WILLIAM ADOLPHUS! SAMUEL BAKER, b 1759, m CATHERINE LEVI, of Pembrokeshire, Wales, abt 1795 BETTY BAKER, b 1754 Bristol NANCY BAKER, b 1762, she married JAMES PULLEN,[PULLIN] [a Solicitor in Bristol] 1792 St Mary Le Port, Bristol Robert was a tailor and one son, WILLIAM was a tailor also. Samuel and Catherine settled in Monmouthshire, where the family became landowners. Their first child, MARY GRACE was b in Bristol. I have information to share about that line... and am now searching for news of the other lines. Thank you and Shalom Phyllis |
