Hi, I'm looking for my Grandmother. Born WINIFRED MARY BAKER (dob c1897) 1st marriage in 1923 to GEORGE FREDERICK WOODWARD (dob c1860) They had a daughter (my mother) IRENE MAY WOODWARD dob 1929 2nd marriage to HERBERT THOMAS MARSHALL, approx 1930 They had four daughters: Lilian dob 26/08/1931 Winifred Mary dob 15/08/1933 Betsey Elizabeth dob 05/02/1935 Edna dob 16/05/1936 (adopted name HARRIS) All sisters where put into care 1935/6. EDNA was adopted but saw my mum again when she was aged 14 and is my godmother. The other sisters probably did not know of their elder sister's existences. They lived at Winterley Lane, Rushall, Walsall, and GEORGE FREDERICK WOODWARD was a Canal Barge boatman.
