Wishing to find descendants of John BAKER born 1834 Redcar, Yks 2nd son of Mark BAKER & Mary CLARK Susannah INNIS/INNISS/INNES born 1834 Stockton-on-Tees, Dur., 4th daughter of William INNISS & Judith HAWTHORNE. John Baker (merchant seaman) & Susannah Innis married 1851 Hartlepool Durham. Children: Mary Ann b 1852 , Jane Ann b 1854 d 1855, Ann Elizabeth b 1857 d 1857, Emma b 1857, Ellen b 1858 , Susannah b 1860/1 , John William Innes Baker b 1863. 1858 at the time of the birth of their daughter Ellen, John & Susannah Baker were living in Finkle Street Stockton, by 1863 & the birth of their only son JWI they were now living at 27 Dame Dorothy Street, Monkwearmouth, Durham. Susannah Baker was listed as a widow, taking in lodgers, on the 1871 census living at Thornby Road, Stainton Stockton-on-Tees. Have no other information on what happened to her or when or where her husband John Baker died. Help would be appreciated in finding this information.
