Frances Jane Baker b 1839 approx. in London. Daughter of William Baker, employed as a printer in East London at the time of Frances' marriage to Alfred Sands in 1860. Frances and Alfred left for Malta where Alfred worked on a contract that was connected with Valetta harbour. He was a master boilermaker and subsequently went on to own his own foundry in Cheshire. Nothing is known of Frances or her family before the marriage to Alfred in Bethnal Green in 1860. Any clues anyone? |
