Looking for information about (or links to) the Baker family of Newsham, Kirby Ravensworth in Yorkshire & of the Baker family of Barnard Castle, Durham. Samuel Baker and his wife Elizabeth had 6 children in Newsham - Ann (1797 - 1799), Sarah (1800), Robert (1802), William (1805 - 1872), John (1807 - 1885) & Frances (1809). They then moved to Barnard Castle and had 3 more - Samuel (1813 - 1890), Ann (1816) & Mary (1820). Robert, William and Samuel settled in Barnard Castle with their families and became Carpet Weavers. John made his home in Darlington and was a Grocer and Confectioner. Paul |
