Hi Im trying to find any info on my Grandad Francis Lewis Baker..Born 24.June.1903. Camden town/St Pancras district..Father also Francis/Frank Baker.Mother Charlotte Smith?, but believe her maiden name is Barnard..At time of Francis Lewis birth in 1903 they were living 20 Hampden street, camden/kentish town area..
Francis Lewis Baker married my Nan Emma Landeryou 20. april.1935...Sadly shortly after my Mum Louisa Baker was born, Dec 1935..they split up....
Francis Lewis, mother charlotte, had been married before, to a W .Langley before Marrying Francis/Frank Baker. I have both marriage certs, 1st to W.Langley in 1889..Her father name is William Barnard(commercial traveller) and then to Francis/Frank in march 1903, again father is Willaim Barnard(commercial traveller)...I believe charlottes mothers name is Sophia and think her maiden name is Jackson Smith..Maybe where the Smith name has come from on Grandads birth cert..
If this sounds familiar to anyone, please get in touch..Thank you

********************* i think this is the Barnards in 1881 that you mention - william and sophia.. does this compare to charlottes age on the marriage certificates?: It would make Charlotte 40 when she had francis lewis.

Thank you Lisa
That sounds like them, as i do believe Sophia was born suffolk, and william norfolk...
And the year of birth for charlotte looks about right too..
Thank you for that...
