Rita Wakeford My Grandmother, Ellen Bell, born in Ipswch approx. 1908, one of 13 children to Willie and Constance Bell. They moved to 11 Lower Brook Street, Basingstoke, Hampshire. Ellen referred to herself as Helen but was often called Nellie. She was in 'service' in Winchester where she met my granfdather William Henry Williams and married him in 1926. They had 3 daughters - Hazel, June (my mother) and Audrey. We know 2 of the sisters emigrated to America or Canada after the war and would like to make contact with anyone from the family. |
