My father was born and baptised in 1947 with the name Warren Lester PAYNE. He was adopted at 6 weeks of age and his name was changed to John Frederick BELL. I am trying to locate his birth mother or her family. All we know is that her name was Lillian PAYNE and she was unmarried at the time of his birth and was in her late 20s ( Which would place her birth date around 1920 ). The father was either a French/Canadian or Sweedish sailor. My father was born at Crown St Womens hospital Paddington NSW Australia and it is believed that his mother lived in Sydney. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As my father is an only child and has no family history. |
