Looking for information about my grandmother, Lucinda Bell. Born 11th September 1902. County Tyrone, N. Ireland. Don't know where, but brother lived in Moy, Near Dungannon so maybe near there. She had a younger brother called John. When John died in 1947, his wife and children went to Canada. Her father was a Master Stone Mason. Her mother died when she and her brother were babies. He married again quite soon and had more children. One of the children was called Mary. Lucinda came to England, married John Jones and my mother Iris and my aunt Doreen were born (Dover). Lucinda visited Tyrone with Iris at some point during the war but that was the last contact they ever had with their family. I guess it wasnt a happy reunion. |
