I'm trying to find anyone with connections to a family originally believed from Winwick, Lancs. Joseph Bennett (1801-1866) married Margaret Foster (1805-1885) in Winwick, and they had five children that we know of: James, Mary, Susan, Joseph and Abel, who is my ancestor.

Abel married Susannah Baxter in Wigan in 1861 and they had about 8 children. One daughter, Elizabeth (b.1868) married Joseph Jones in 1892 at Ince in Makerfield. Their son Peter was my great grandfather.

Hoping to hear from anyone with any connection whatsoever. Thank you!

Ian

Hi Rosalinda, we have Bennetts and Baxters in my family, the earliest Bennett is a Henry Bennett who married Elizabeth Farrar in Billinge in 1905.
My cousin Joan is a Baxter her Father is John Comus Bennett b 1916/17.
they were from Billinge and St.Helens. At present they are not in my tree but I will put them in due course.
Regards Ian Farrar.
