Hello Elaine

Just had a quick look on the 1901 census for you. Found them living in Heysham, Wooboro' Road, Lower Bank, but unfortunately no children listed. Cannot find any births/marriages on the BDM for Wellsley Harris after 1901. May be worth a trip to the Archives. They may have some information. Could it be that the name Harris was dropped after 1901?

Good luck.

Best wishes.

Sue

The marriage:
Marriages Dec 1900
Bennett Annie Lancaster 8e 1233
Harris Arthur Wellesley Lancaster 8e 1233
There are a lot of Harris children registered in Lancaster after 1901, so it is possible they had children.
I don't know Lancaster, but I suggest you Google it to find out what churches there are there to see if you can trace christenings. It's a pity mothers' names don't appear on the registers until later. The first in Lanchester is 1912, unfortunately.
Otherwise, an appeal on the Records Office board might help.
