George Charles Bennett - parents Thomas & Elizabeth. Married twice to Sarah Egan Featherstone and Lucy Collins (nee Minear). George lived in South Australia (Australia) and died at The Pinery (South Australia). I am looking for information on George's parents and also a birth record for George. |

Thanks Alan. The Pinery is in South Australia (Australia). I am trying to confirm George's parents. I believe they are Thomas Boutflower Bennett and Elizabeth Wiggins, but I'm not sure is this is correct. I believe Thomas and Elizabeth came from England. I can't find the birth record for George Charles Bennett either. I do have information on his 2 marrages (both in South Australia) and his children. |

Thanks for your responses. I am still to get a copy of George's marriage certificate/s. South Australian certificates (until 1907) only had the fathers' names. But I will definitely follow-up and get a copy which may have more clues. I don't know when George arrived in South Australia. He married the first time in 1873, his wife died in 1880 and he remarried in 1881. |

Thanks Alan. If Thomas Boutflower & Elizabeth were his parents then I know of three brothers, but I'm not 100% certain these are his parents. Re the 1861 Census record - George would have been about 20 in 1861, and this entry has him as an 8 year old. But I do appreciate your "investigation". I will try and get a copy of his marriage certificate which may give me more clues. |
