George Henry Bennett was born in Prescot, St Helens, Lancashire Eng on the above date. He married Sarah Makepeace from Northumberland, 7 April 1871. They came to Australia. Had 4 Sons, one being my grandfather, George Thomas Bennett, b 2 Jun 1872. He owned Draper businesses which went into insovencies in Roma and Toowoomba Qld. ( I have info on these) He left his wife and family and family believes he went off to the gold fields in Kalgoorlie WA. I cannot find his death cert. Some believe he died Abt 1888 in Qld. I sent for one cert but it was incorrect. Please can you help me with this?

I just used ancestry.co.uk

I am subscribed to that site, if you're not they do offer a 14 day free trial, however they will ask for card details........ if you decide not to take a full subcription cancel your details on the 13th day of the free trial.

If you do get stuck the boards on here are full of users that cah help you, just stick to 1 thread per surname and you'll be amazed what others can turn up.
