I think Edith's parents were Lewis Bennett b1856 Crawley, Hants and Annie nee Samuel born c 1856 Wales. They lived in South Hornsey in 1881 census.
In 1891 census I have Edith A, neice, visitor at 19 Old Town with James and Emma Bennett and I think her grandmother Charlotte. I think she is the same person.
In 1911 census it says she has been married 7 years, living with 2 daughters, Mary & Dorothy and a servant at 72 Charlwood St, Pimlico. I cannot find a marriage record for her.
Can anyone please help me find who she married? Also confirm I am barking up the right tree with her parantage!

Now Edith annie, Lewis and Annie's daughter is my mystery. The Census says she was married 7 years in 1911 but I can find no marriage record. Can you help?

Her name is Edith annie Bennett. On her children's birth certificates it says: Edith Annie Bennett formerly Bennett. I don't know if she married a cousin or what....

Is she down as a Widow on the 1911?

Have you got the birth certs for Mary and Dorothy and is there a fathers name on them please?


If no fathers name she is probably not married at all.

It cant be possible for Dorothy and Sylvia to have been born within 5 months of one another? Who is Sylvia? She does not appear in a 1911 census.

Oops Sylvia was born 1916.
The record transcript is wrong. Mary, Dorothy and Walter were born St George Hanover Squ, Belgrave not Bulgaria! Sylvia in Lambeth.
