Trying to find Bennett

I am trying to find any information about William Bennett born in 1879 (or thereabouts). Unfortunately I have no place of birth for him, but he lived in Cornwall during his adult life and died in Plymouth in 1953. He may or may not have been married to Clara Keverne with whom he had 6 children from 1915. At that time he was living in Bodmin and we think he was married to somebody else as the first of the 3 children with Clara were all registered with no father's name. However, for the second child she was actually listed as being his housekeeper and he registered the birth!. It is only the last 3 who were given the Bennett surname at which point Clara was calling herself 'Mrs'. However, no marriage certificate can be found!! I would be really interested to know if anyone out there knows of this man. Maybe a descendent from his first marriage???? |
