I know this is a long shot, but I am researching my Bennett family tree from sheffield, and have hit a brick wall. So I thought I would try to trace My late father Norman Bennett's cousin's When I was young we were living in Middlesex about 1/2 Hour From wembly stadium and my Dads relatives used to come down for the rugby league cup final and always meet up at our house. This was in the late fifty's early sixties. I know there was a Bill and a Vic because my dad used to talk about them especially after returning from Australia a few years before he died. The only other thing I know is that there was a daughter who died tragically in plane crash,( possibly at Winter Hill ). Family names I have so far are Tillman/ Sykes/Staley/Coe. If any off this rings a bell with anyone please get in touch if you want I would be really glad to hear from you. Thanks LES BENNETT. |
