Hi there, im looking for information on my great great grandfather and nan, i have there full names an marriage info, there names are myron lester boyd and mary elizabeth robertson they got married in march 1915 in mounmouthshire cardiff, does anybody have advice on how i can get other information about them and there parents?, id appreciate any input thanks alot anthony

Do you have a copy of theor marriage certificate? This will give father's names and occupations. Can't find his birth though.

His medal card is on Ancestry.

He was a Sergeant in the Welsh Regiment. Hi number was 14194. He served in France in 1915 and was discharged 28th Sept. 1916.

I can't find him on any census.

Could his name have been Myron Leslie Boyd??
This one travelled with his Wife Mary Elizabeth in 1929. He was listed as a Cabinet Maker but was going to try farming in the new country.

Hi Anthony,.
I think it is more than possible that Myron was American. I have looked on the I.G.I.index and there are quite a few listed, Copy of the marriage certificate should give some clues. ie was he a british subject, who was his Father and his Fathers occupation. I think this is the first item you need.Ethel.
