Robert Henry BOYD, born July 5, 1907 in Rutherglen, Lanark, Scotland. His parents were Robert Henry BOYD, an iron-worker, and Eliza Jane HEATHERINGTON, both born and married in County Tyrone, North Ireland. Robert junior was a master baker, emigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1927, married Charlotte BARRISKELL (also from Rutherglen...she had emigrated the year before) in Toronto on Dec.29,1928. They had children Roberta, Gordon, Norinne and Robert "Harry". In 1935 the Depression forced Robert to seek work "out west", and he landed a job with Canadian Bakeries in Calgary, Alberta. His wife and children were supposed to follow, but some sort of falling out occurred and the family never did re-unite (nor did he and Charlotte ever divorce). In 1940 & 41 he was in Edmonton, working for Edmonton City Bakery. After that, there is no trace. It is very unlikely that he is still alive, but no one knows where he ended up. Did he stay in Alberta? Did he go back to Ontario? Did he go back to Scotland? Or maybe England, where his brother Albert George BOYD went.
