Hello all,

I am having trouble finding the record of my nan's birth; she was born on the 1st Dec 1928 and named Mary Margaret Brown. Yet i can't find her listed. Is there a possibilty that she was recorded down incorrectly? Can anyone else find her?

Many thanks

Sam

Where was she born? Have you looked at the complete indexes, FreeBMD is not fully transcribed yet. Also, she may have been registered in the 1st quarter of 1929.

Hi,

It appears that Mary M Brown mother Foster also appears in the first quater of 1929, why would this be?

Thanks

because most births are not registered immediatley
so therefore many come up in the next"quarter"
which in this case is the following year due to the dec birth
