Wonder if anyone can help. I'm trying to find my sister Avis Brown, who I last saw about 53 years ago.

My mother, Esther Brown (nee Mather) thinks she was born in August 1956. I can't find an entry in Birth Index.

She was fostered out, probably within the first year of her life. If anyone has any ideas, or can find her in the Indexes, I would be immensely grateful.

Could Avis be a middle name?

Just wondering about a birth for Margaret A in 1953 in Shardlow

I have just send the birth for Margaret to Aubrey by pm. It's in the same registration district as his own birth (if I have the correct one).
