My nan was Winifred Brown, possibly born1891 in either Hackney or Windsor, she married Leslie King in 1926 and my mother, Doreen King was born in 1930. I am trying to find out if she was married before because i remember family talking about a grand dad Nash but can find no record. I would also like to find out if she had anymore children.

Hi Denise. The marriage was not in 1926 but 1928. Oct/Dec Qtr. reg in Eton. vol 3a page 2241. Leslie J King to Winifred Brown.
Copy of this certificate will give their ages, her standing, ie spinster, widow etc, also their Father's names and occupations, and witnesses who may be siblings.
If she had been married before, it should also give her original name. Ethel.

Her name at marriage was her maiden name so must have been her first marriage, seemed odd she didnt marry until she was 37, that is of course if i have her birth date right. Thankyou, Denise
